How to Get that Article

Did you find the perfect article in a library database, but the full-text was not available?

Not all library resources are immediately available full-text, however, below are quick and easy directions to eventually obtain that article for your research!

Obtaining Full Text of Journal Articles

Step One:

If a Hewes Library database does NOT have the full text immediately available, use the "Find this item" Article Linker button to search all Hewes Library full-text resources.
find this item button

When you click the button, a new Article Linker page will open and show full text results, if any.  Below is an example of results that found full-text in other library resources.

Step Two:

If the Article Linker page does not lead to full text, you may use the link provided on that same page to place an Interlibrary Loan request via the ILLiad system. First time users should create an account, using their Monmouth College credentials, and all the citation information will be transferred from the database into the request fields. Learn more about ILLiad & Interlibrary Loan.
