Celebrate National Library Week at YOUR favorite library!
April 7th - 13th is National Library Week, celebrating "Libraries = Strong Communities." A few highlights:
- Hewes Library belongs to a consortium of 90 other libraries in the state dedicated to sharing resources. The consortium catalog, I-Share, contains over 14.7 million unique records, a collection that ranks among the world's most extensive research catalogs. Monmouth College patrons can request I-Share materials be sent to Monmouth for free (see directions here) and can visit any I-Share library in person to borrow materials on-site.
- Monmouth College patrons can also apply for a Warren County Public Library card. Just blocks away, the Public Library serve adults and children in our community, and has a wealth of children's literature, popular fiction, and an array of non-fiction materials to supplement Hewes Library's collection. To obtain a card, bring the following items to WCPL: MC ID, piece of mail with your MC address, State ID (e.g. driver's license).
- See below for additional National Library Week highlights.
