Writing Center Tutors in Hewes

Starting September 1st, the Monmouth College Writing Center peer-tutors will be available on the main floor of Hewes Library, in the room just adjacent to the east entrance.

Tutors are available for drop-in consultation and will maintain appropriate social distancing using dual monitors on each table.

Writing Workshop: Idea Generation

The Monmouth College Writing Center will host the second in a series of semester workshops in Hewes Library this week. All students are welcome!


IDEA GENERATION
Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th
3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Main Floor of Hewes Library, Room 124

This workshop will provide tools for generating and keeping track of ideas. The session will help students brainstorm for topics. Students can bring their own prompts or use the example prompts at the workshop.

UNDERSTANDING WRITING PROMPTS 
Wednesday, February 5th & Thursday, February 6th, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. 
Main Floor of Hewes Library, Room 124 

This workshop will focus on understanding the writing prompts that students receive from instructors. The session will help the students in understanding the assignment requirements for a current assignment in particular, and for future assignments in general. Students can bring their own prompts or use the example prompts provided at the workshop.
