Database of the Month: Statista

The database of the month for December is Statista.  Statista is a statistics portal that integrates over 60,000 diverse topics of data and facts from over 10,000 sources, including market research, trade publications, scientific journals, and government databases.  It is easy to use and will suggest search terms to you as you begin your search.

In addition to being one of the largest statistic portals, Statista contains marvelous color info-graphic capabilities allowing the researcher to pull dynamic statistics straight into a paper or presentation.  After a test search for smartphones, the database recommended this info-graphic as a recommended result:
